ABOUT THIS PIECE

TThe Ella Necklace lays a garland along the neckline — blush pink and lavender blooms with clusters of tiny yellow beaded stamens at their centres, ivory petals between them, and small sage green leaves scattered through fine golden wirework.

Each petal is shaped by hand from resin worked while still malleable, then outlined in fine gold wire and set onto hand-wound copper. The outlining holds each petal's shape and gives the whole piece a stained-glass quality when light passes through.

The flowers run continuously rather than gathering at a single pendant, and they thin out toward the ends where the wire fades almost to nothing. That taper is what makes it sit like a garland resting on the collarbone instead of a necklace hanging from the neck.
