ABOUT THIS PIECE

The Rivia Earrings began as a question — what would bloom in the kingdom of Rivia? What came out of it was this pair: white flowers with the faintest blush cast, pearl clusters gathered between them, and a sprinkle of glitter caught in the resin.

Each petal is shaped by hand from resin worked while still malleable, then wound onto a golden hoop with fine copper wire. The detail worth looking closely at is the leaves — marbled stone, carved individually into small pointed shapes, which is what gives the pair its weight of detail without adding actual weight.

The hoop is what makes them unusual. Most floral earrings hang as a cluster or a straight drop; here the blooms are set around an open circle, so the shape reads clearly from across a room while the flowers reward a closer look.
